Jill Francis, science teacher at Chase High School, was named the Rutherford County Schools Teacher of the Year for 2012-2013 on Thursday, May 10. Mrs. Francis was announced the winner at the annual Teacher of the Year breakfast, this year held at RS Middle School.
Mrs. Francis is a National Board Certified Teacher, has earned her BS in Biology and Secondary Education and her MA in Science Education from ECU, ASU, and Campbell University. She will go on to represent RCS in the District 8 Regional competition later this year.
