ESL Overview

Rutherford County Schools currently serves a small population of

Limited English Proficient (LEP) students in our district.

Language Instruction Educational Program (LIEP) Services:

All Limited English Proficient (LEP) students receive language support through LIEP services.
Content and ESL teachers use the WIDA English Language Development to plan and deliver instruction.
Rutherford County Schools receives state and federal funds to support program initiatives which align with Title III requirements.
