On Tuesday, August 20, Rutherford County Schools (RCSNC) superintendent Dr. David M. Sutton welcomed employees to the 2019-20 school year during the school system’s annual opening assembly, held at R-S Central High School. During the program, Sutton announced that Tammie Ash, who serves as the principal at Forrest W. Hunt Elementary School, was recently selected by his peers as the 2018-19 RCSNC Principal of the Year.
RCS commends Ash's recent recognition and is proud that she will represent the school system and her peers as the selection process for North Carolina’s Region 8 Principal of the Year gets underway in the coming months.
