CORONAVIRUS & COVID-19 Information

Beginning October 12, elementary school students who are currently enrolled in the hybrid learning program will automatically transition to Plan A and begin attending school for face-to-face instruction each weekday. Elementary school students who are currently enrolled in the remote learning program will remain enrolled in the remote learning program. However, we recognize that some parents may choose to change their children’s learning program as we transition to Plan A. To submit a Change Form click the links below.


Rutherford County Schools values and promotes the health and wellness of students, employees, and our broader community. School officials are carefully monitoring news and information regarding the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019 nCov), as well as confirmed cases of related illness both nationally and internationally. Rutherford County Schools closely follows guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, from the Division of Public Health at the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, and from local public health officials in order to reduce or prevent the spread of this and other illnesses, including the common cold and influenza, within the school environment.
